So, you have a website on the World Wide Web? Good for you. You've begun a great ministry. However, you've got to get the word out about your website. Posting a web site on the Internet without submitting it to search engines is like hanging a poster in your closet. It may look good, but no one is going to see it.

Step 1. Register your site with secular search engines. I use Submit It! For a small fee, they will post it on 400+ engines for you. You can use their site to submit it to 5 engnies for free. Whether you do it for a fee or free, visit Submit It first.

Step 2. Register your site with specialized Christian search engines. This is a bit harder and will take over an hour to visit my private collection of sites, but it will drive traffic to your little corner of the World Wide Web.

Step 3. Submit your site to search engines via email. I've gathered a few email address for you to submit to.

Step 4. While you are surfing the Net, offer to exchange links with pages like yours. I find that about 20% of webmasters will exchange links and it is worth the time and effort.
